New Seafood Restaurant in Baton Rouge
63I had come across a full page ad in a classified ad booklet last Sunday and noticed it was for a new seafood restaurant here in Baton Rouge.
I figured I ought to go check it out sometime so I can write a review on it. This hub is my review.
It was Thursday evening the day I decided I would finally go check out this establishment. You know, see what it was all about, help it get some notice on the web, something like that.
So anyway, I decided to go check it out, get a little something for dinner. What I ordered was a Special that included 6 catfish strips and shrimp--lots of shrimp. It also included a choice of fries and fried rice--I went with the fries; a slice of bread and salad were also included. Let's just say it's not something a lot of people can eat in one setting.
The price of the special--$5.99 before tax.
Good meal if you like fried food--or have that occasional craving for fried food.
When I went over to Natalie's Seafood & Restaurant, I saw the expanded menu in which the items included was 6 times as much as what I saw in the ad I saw Sunday. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They claim to have the best breakfast in town. I can't say one way or the other because I haven't tried their breakfast yet, but if they are confident about having the best breakfast in town, I will give them that benefit.
As far as their breakfast, you can get a breakfast platter or a breakfast sandwich, both with the option of adding sides.
They also have hot lunch specials Monday through Friday with a choice of two meals each day. All lunch specials are $5.59.
For lunch and dinner, you can get po boys, burgers and sandwiches, salads, chicken dinners, shrimp and oyster dinners, catfish dinners. You can also mix and combine seafood. Most dinners are served with fries or rice, salad, and bread.
I strongly recommend you call in your order to avoid waiting. They don't cook it till you order it, so if you don't call ahead, it could be a little while till your order is ready.
This is my brief review on Natalie's Seafood & Restaurant. I will say service is good and a generous serving is what you will get.

I had tried the chicken on the stick, bacon cheese burger poboy and they were really good. I haven't had a good burger in a while but this is good.
Good boiled crawfish! spicy, just right season.

I call BS that this is a legit review.
The food here was so bad, I actually stood up and left in the middle of my lunch.
Food was good, great people.
